Everyone acted like I was crazy man because I did not go wild for UK, glad to see someone else felt the same. I am surprise you put Louisville over it though...I ended up not ranking them at the end.

Didnt you end up not ranking like half the places you interviewed at?

I was pleasantly surprised by Louisville. UK was too small for my taste, same with UT.

Well with the programs you are ranking I am sure your a great candidate. You probably won't go past IU.

Thanks, would honestly love any of my top 4, and be OK with any of them on my list. IU came out on top because I felt it was the best training that also kept my wife happiest in terms of location.

Also to clarify my previous post, when I said too small I completely meant actual size of the program. I preferred the larger programs in terms of number of residents. I had no doubts that UK and UT would have provided me a great education.

Best of luck everyone, 23 days. . .

I have personal/family reasons for staying in the Midwest, that's why I ranked Vermont and Baystate lower than SLU/Missouri. I really clicked at Rochester, though, and have some old friends there. Ended up not ranking Shreveport in the end. I think I would scramble better if it came down to it.

May God have mercy on my soul.

what's your reasoning for putting usc above ucla?

I liked the residents and faculty more at USC, and I don't plan on doing academic medicine so I found it hard to justify the hours at UCLA. I think there's diminishing or even negative returns once you go past a certain number of hours each week...

they are both solid programs but I think I'd do better overall at USC...
