Difficult to suggest. Try hotels.com.If you will find hotelnear the New York, you need to use train to get on interview. May be better find cheap hotel in New York city and use subway.

Hi, Elena.
Interview in NYU is personal that is why is different for everybody. For me it was just talking with very nice lady Dr. Estafan. God bless her!
Dont be nervous, please.Nothing difficult.Sometimes it is not even about stats( it is better if you have good GPA of course) but about personality.
Enjoy staing in New York. It is a great city!

I have received my acceptance to NYU.
I just want to say Thank you Jesus for this gift.
I give God all the glory.
I also thank all who have posted any information on sdn and I encourage everyone who is sorely tempted to give up that there is most definitely light at the end of the dark tunnel if you hold on.
This is my second year of applying and I have received my fair share of rejections.
These are the scriptures that really encouraged me and I hope they also encourage someone.

---- Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours but God's.

gpa----- 2.21

my gpa is scary but like I said-- with God all things are possible.
I was interviewed on february 6

YOU MADE IT!!now sit back and relax, but dunt forget to post your stats at the main acceptance thread to benefit the newcomers!we owe this to SDN guys!:) as i notices some people with lower gpas or lower scores also making it to nyu, so it might show light to many. thanks, good luck and congrats once again!

TOEFL-253
Masters- MS
Experience-2 years as teaching assistant ( Anatomy and Physiology)
1.5 years as a research assistant
6 months volunteer dental assistant
1 year experience in home country
1 Publication in the process.
I applied in December but they didnt receive my score for a while so atlast my application was completed in Jan.
My interview was very cool. More like two people talking just to know each other. It was appx for 10 minutes.
I hope I have tried to answer everybodys questions...................
