OMG, one week from today, I will be moving into my new apartment at Cedar Key!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> I can't believe that the time is here already! I'm excited to meet all of you guys, but I'm starting to realize that we're starting med school in a little over a month! A little scary but still way cool!

Anyways, just wanted to say "Hello" and keep our thread alive!

PCG are we the only ones who are going to be there around the 1st? We'll have to meet up and go get some grub or something. My wife and I will be there on the 1st. I'll message you with our phone number later.

Hey, if anyone is still looking for an apartment I just got one at Cedar Key. I'm looking for one roommate, male or female. Check out springstreet.com or nsucom2006.com for pictures/floorplans/rent/etc. Email me if interested.

Kev- Yeah, I think we're it until Brian N shows up on the 4th (from Vegas). :)

We should definitely get together, my bf is helping me move and he won't be leaving until Friday, so we should all go out! Can't wait to meet ya (and your wife). What day are you guys leaving? We're leaving on Saturday and going to try to make it to Savannah before we crash for the night. :D

Wow, time sure flies...I'll be an M4 in 1 week...No medical school is perfect...however, I think Nova is fairly adequate...I remember the first semester of first year to be an absolute joke...If you go to class and pay attention you'll do great...I think everybody in our class had &gt;90% average after 1st semester...then second semester and physiology reared its ugly head...this dropped the class average down...second year was a life draining experience of test after mind numbing test...every weekend was spent cramming for the monday exam...third year was very humbling, frustrating, and somewhat of a rewarding experience...Internal Medicine at Broward General is VERY STRONG, it's probably the best MEDICINE rotation that Nova has to offer...It lays a great foundation and framework for the rest of your rotations...

Dude, Jason, you're an M4 now. You were June 1st. My hospital considers me a 4th year as of June 1st anyways. I know this mainly because now I'm finally allowed to write on ICU patients and can dictate my notes now. Oh the honors!

BUMP! :D

I heard that it's been raining a lot and some flooding has been going on in Florida (the forcast for my entire move is scattered showers)... does anyone know how bad it is near the school (any flooding?) :D

Oh, PCG,
There will always be some "flooding" around Davie during any rainstorm. If it rains more than a half an hour or so, the roads get pretty full and the parking lots turn into pools. So my tip, ESPECIALLY during a hurricane or a lot of t-storms, is to park your car at Cedar Key on somewhat of an incline. My parking spots were at an incline so I was always safe, but I knew a couple people at Cedar Key who got water in their oil lines, etc...

I have one question for you, the Class of 2006, NSU-COMers.......

ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?!! NO, NO, NO...not studying..... TO PARTY!!!

My class, NSU-CDM Class of 2006, we're having a series of parties the week prior to our orientation (8-9-02), just wondering if y'all are doing the same! We should coordinate a gathering where we get both of our classes together either prior to orientation or the first weekend of classes!?

Look forward to meeting you all!

Quinn, thanks for the insight. Our apartment is in front of the tennis courts...do you recall if there's much of an incline in that parking area? I'm kind of nervous about my car flooding. Thanks. :)

Yah-E: You dental students better believe that we'll be ready to party!!! Our orientation starts on the 5th though, so we'll be busy before you guys. We're planning on several get-togethers around the 2-3rd weeks in July...will any of you guys be there by then? :D Send me a PM with your email, and we'll keep you updated! NSU ROCKS!! :D

PCG- Actually I think the area where you will be parking is where I knew people that had problems with the oil and stuff. Actually the med student is right next to me. He said he would park at HPD during a hurricane or what not. I lived at 7212 and there was a bit of an incline there, so you could park there and walk over.

Cedar Key rocks. I miss having those keggers at the pool. *sigh* Three years ago.

Quinn, thanks for the warning, yeah, I'm in building nine... you can always come to our keggars! :)

Okay guys, I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow and though the forecast is thunderstorms for the next month or so straight (ha ha), I'm still excited. I can't wait to meet all of you!!! I'll be back online on Monday sometime. PM me or email me if you're in the FtL area and want to get together!

:D Liz

Hmm... things are moving (pun intended)... PCG left this morning... Kev leaves tomorrow... Brian N around the holiday... I'll be there next Monday... wh00p!

When do the current M2's start? I heard it was somewhere around the 7th?

Go to our class website and there are directions there under the Atrium forum, I believe...

You just need your SSN# and your first letter of your first and last name to sign up!
