Matthew Perry Ketamine overdose

According to the toxicologist, he had “general anesthetic” levels of ketamine in his blood and that trace amounts were found in his stomach, however his last infusion was 1.5 weeks prior. So did he overdose on oral ketamine??? Also therapeutic levels of buprenorphine found.

Curious to hear your thoughts. I personally view oral ketamine and buprenorphine a rather benign combination as far as accidental overdose risk goes. So tragic.

oral ketamine has low bioavailability. he must've taken massive amounts or someone came in and administered IV / IM.
we all know his drug of choice became ketamine after his opioid ordeal.

But might it alternatively have been acute pulmonary edema in combination with his history of COPD?

the statement states that the cause of death is ketamine intoxication but a contributing factor is drowning and coronary artery disease.

so he drowned, but he drowned because he had too much ketamine in his system.


its confusing by the way is it worded. and a frequent miscommunication.
