I would check the rental market, and see how long those places have been available. If they are going fairly quick, I would buy.
Gordon is a nice area, and there is a pretty big transient population in terms of the residencies there. Many people may not want to buy, knowing they are going to be there for a few years in a residency, and may help you in renting your place out once you leave.
