Hi,

I'm a current medical school applicant and was put on WL by one of the schools I interviewed one week ago. I have only interviewed three schools so far, and no Acceptance yet. I wonder when would be a good time to send them an LOI.

I think if you want to send one, now is as good of a time as any. I’m not sure LoI’s typically make a huge difference, but it shouldn’t hurt if the school hasn’t explicitly said not to send LoI’s/post-interview correspondence.

This question does not require confidentiality and you can find a number of similar threads in the public forums. But yes, now is as good a time as any to write one. Keep in mind that many experts are dubious that they are helpful
