I am currently trying to decided between PTA, DPM and DPT. I am having trouble deciding between the three professions. They all enable me to help people, but others take a lot more time and energy to complete. How did many of you podiatry student decide that podiatry was the way to go? Was it the money? Self validation? The pretigue? Pressure from friends or family members/friends? Did many of you grow up dreaming about working with feet? Some advice would be very much welcomed! Thank you!

Just shadow a few practitioners from each specialty (possibly incl a local residency program for pod), and see what you can envision yourself doing. A couple more years of training shouldn't intimidate you since you're getting career training/skills that will serve you for a lifetime.

I would rather do DPM than DPT which is better than PTA
