Hey, any ideas about side gigs for the week off for a hospitalist to make extra money? (Something flexible and less stressful for the week off)

I heard about one hospitalist reading PFT’s from his home for a hospital. How would I find something like this? Any other suggestions?

you could cover GIM shifts for someone . Look for a help wanted part time gig . As long as they don’t pay you benefits and PTO, I’m sure a reasonable and fair hourly wage can be agreed on. Covering GIM isn’t bad . Address the acute issues and provide appropriate referrals and follow up main internist for screening and complex psycho social issues . GIM isn’t so annoying when you realize you can bill for your time (higher office code for more time spent now )

As for pfts - dunno . Hospitals probably want board certified pulm or allergy to do that . Private groups will read their own pfts .
