My SO works as an independent contractor for a physician consulting company. Recently, they started holding the January billings 45-60 days due to high patient deductibles at the beginning of the year. This is supposed to allow more efficient billing overall, but our most recent paycheck has dropped a whole lot. Not counting the effect of Covid-19, is this really a viable strategy?
