Hi guys,
I have been searching quite some while for these two stats regarding POD schools.
So far, I have some progress.
I would like to know
1) Graduation rate:
I have calculated the average graduation rate from POD schools to be around 85.7%. I need someone to verify if this number is close enough (my calculation is attached on the bottom, some of the numbers are off).
For matriculants, I use this thread:
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/total-number-of-matriculants-class-of-2014.768582/
For the graduate number, I use this numbers in the second column of this link:
http://www.aacpm.org/html/statistics/PDFs/GradStats/Graduating Class of 2013 by College, EthnicID and Gender 09-2013.pdf
2) The residency match rate. (I could not find a reliable source for this)
This is what I could find so far:
According to @Ankle Breaker
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/match-day-2013.992083/
104 students would go unmatched and enter the scramble.
so of the 572 graduates (number from the second link)
81.8% of the graduates will get their first match, while 18.2% of the graduates will enter the scramble.
So that means, 70.1% of the students who enrolled on the first day will graduate and match. (This is an overestimate because some of the number are off, like SCPM has over 100% graduation rate)
Can someone correct/ verify this information?
