University: Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)
Major: Early Chilldhood / Elementary Education
Overall GPA: 3.92 (when I graduated)
Overall GPA now: 3.89 (after taking my pre-reqs)
Pre-Req GPA: 3.83 (Sci & Math), 3.79 (Sci), 3.72 (all pre-reqs)
GRE:
420V, 640Q, 4.5A
490V, 590Q, 4.5A
460V, 630Q, 5.0A

Extra-Curric: I am a certified spinning instructor, Les Mills BodyPump instructor, CPR/AED/First Aid certified, during my undergrad I did a lot of volunteer work/activities/part-time jobs, but since I am now in the "real world" I work 40 hours a week and teach 6 exercise classes a week.

Volunteer: 100+ hours of volunteer work between Out-patient, In-patient, pediatrics, visiting nurses association, etc, etc. I have seen almost all of it with the few volunteering stints I did.

(I noticed a lot of people have WAY more volunteer hours... that is so commendable... Since I am "older" and work full-time M-F I don't have much time for volunteering, especially when most clinics/hospital PTs are done by 3-4pm... Hopefully not having as many hours won't be a downfall...)

Applied: Chatham University, Pitt, Duquesne University (All in Pittsburgh, PA)

**As of 10/13 all three schools have contacted me saying that my application has been received and is being reviewed.
** 10/29 - Received invitation to Chatham University for interview!
** 11/19 - Acceptance to University of Pittsburgh by email
** 12/2 - Acceptance to Chatham University by email with formal letter to follow
** 12/13 - Wait-list offer to Duquesne University
** 12/17 - Sent deposit to Chatham University

to be honest you have enough hours. What matters is quality, not quantity... also, it seems like you already scheduled to retake your GRE but IMO you dont even need to take it again.

Got my Pittsburgh acceptance e-mail this morning...
Congratulations!!!! I got my certified mail today for Southwest Baptist University. Im accepted, they didn't interview. I still have three interviews (Temple 11/12; RFUMS 11/20, Shenandoah University 12/16). Even thought Southwest Baptist is not ranked and not my number one school. At least I know I will be in a program and on my way to being a PT. This forum has been such a big help to me in the past and I know it will be in the future. I come on here to get some advice and value everyones opinions. Thank you everyone!!!!

And if you guys have seen my stats in the past, people with lower GPAs can get accepted, and don't lose hope.

Here are my stats:

BS Geography

Compared to most of you all, my stats look pathetic. I just wonder if I have a chance. I've received an interview offer from U Tennessee so I hope they put more emphasis on the interview than on my academic record. That seems to be my only hope.
