What GI programs in the Southeast are considered the strongest?

Some of the usual suspects. Duke, UNC, MUSC, Wake Forest all have strong GI departments. Emory, UF, and UAB are worth a look as well.

Notable Strengths:
Duke - Hepatology
UNC - IBD, motility
Wake Forest - Advanced therapeutic endoscopy
MUSC - Advanced therapeutic endoscopy, motility

Emory
Univ of Florida
Alabama
Duke
North Carolina
Wake Forest
Ochsner Clinic, New Orleans
Univ of South Florida

I would echo some of the points others have added, but add a few more programs to the list.

Duke, UNC, UVa, MUSC, Wake with UAB, Emory, UF, and Miami close behind. But, there are plenty of other good programs which deserve consideration as well.
