Probation has been discussed, yes. But the Washington Post article, though, says GWU basically lied -- to everyone, students and applicants included -- about why it was on probation. The problems are apparently pretty serious. I haven't read any comments about that.

Both the Post article and this one, from the GW student newspaper (http://media.www.gwhatchet.com/medi...t.Cites.Medical.School.Problems-3638282.shtml) have been discussed on the GW secondary thread. You have to look back a ways, since this stuff came out several months ago.
