Nothing is impossible, especially if your father has some connections. People with lower than your step 1 score matched in the past. If your father knows some really influential people in the field, you may have a shot. Otherwise, it is very difficult because as you have already noticed, many med students with higher stats couldn't match in the past. However, if you are going to apply to GS anyway, why not apply to PRS at the same time? It is not going to hurt you. Lots of students are doing that.
