I am considering becoming a CRNA (end goal) and am just wondering if they have to help lift anything on the job. Is there a way to NOT lift anything at all (if you have back injuries and back problems)?

Do RN's, CRNA's, or NP's, in general have to lift anything or move patients, or do techs do this job? Also, can you get accommodations to not lift any patients or anything heavy due to preexisting back problems? Would co-workers/employers be understanding if you told them that you can't lift anything?

In the OR I've seen CRNAs help transfer patients from the bed to the operating table but it's usually a group effort of about 4-5 people.
