I am really surprised that this is not mandatory already? Now that is I would say that it can only be a positive for both the team and the profession. That would be quite the job and experience for those handful lucky enough to secure one of those jobs. I don't think the compensation would be drastically different, but who knows.
 
I think it is a great thing. It has increased the size of the medical staff which is important because it means that the staff is going to be able to provide more personalized care for each athlete.

I would think that the added staff member will likely be a PT, ATC credentialed individual. It's most beneficial for the team as a whole...
