"Best test" resource

While studying for CP boards, there are many questions asking for the "best test" for various things. For example, what is the best test to detect HSV? According to text books (compendium, p. 167), cell culture is definitive, but PCR/ hybrid capture is as specific and more sensitive than culture. Does anyone know of a resource for finding the best test?
