Anybody know how hard it is to get into the Air Force AEGD-1 residencies? I know we all apply during D4 and some choose not to do one... are enough slots available so that those who want to do one generally can, or is it more competitive than that? Have heard widely different things about this.
Also, does doing the AEGD open up more opportunities for general practice within the AF? I recently heard that without it you are limited in what kinds of procedures you'll be permitted to handle, and might spend the bulk of your time doing exams and simple restorations.
Any insight much appreciated!
