About three years ago I was suspended for poor academic performance for a semester. During that semester I finally got my life and priorities straight and have since managed to raise my cGPA to a 3.5. With a science GPA that is around a 3.6.

As I understand it those numbers are at least in the ball park of what Osteopathic schools are looking for, but my only concern is that the academic suspension will drag me down.

Will this have a negative effect on my chances of getting accepted?

Since this is not a sanction about your character and you have established an upward trend since, I don't believe this will be an issue for you.

Strongly concur here. I have seen many interviewees who who been in the same boat, and we have no problem with them as it's clear they've turned their life around.

So, quit fussing!
