ABIM GI exam

Hi:
I recently wrote the American GI exam. Previous to writing the exam, I had posted about anybody elses experience but received no reply. It seems this board is more about getting into GI, which is unfortunate.

Anyhow, I attended the Mayo GI board review in Chicago which was useful. I also purchased 5 years of board review questions from the ACG. This is an excellent resource in that the questions are well thought out and have detailed explanations and references.

This was more than enough to easily pass the exam.

Hopefully this will prove useful to upcoming candidates.

Yeah, I plan on getting the Steinberg syllabus....probably won't attend the course because I'm not much of a course-taker. The Mayo review book has proven to be a good resource too.
