We invite you to attend the 5th Annual Meeting of the American Physician Scientists Association in Chicago, Illinois from Friday, April 24th, 2009 until Sunday, April 26th at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago, IL. The largest meeting of physician-scientsts from the student, to the resident/fellow, the the young investigator, to the professors, students, researchers, managers, CEO’s, investigators, and clinicians will be in a unique environment combining academia, industry, and government into three days of interaction.

As this meeting coordinates with the Association of American Physicians (AAP), and the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), there will be ample opportunity to expand your knowledge on an expansive number of topics. Additionally, you will be able to find yourself face to face with some of the top physician-scientists in the country, those who oversee millions of dollars in funding, thousands of people, and direct our country’s scientific ambitions.

Additionally, we hope that our APSA student members will be able to find themselves shoulder to shoulder with the top minds in the country by presenting their research at a number of poster sessions throughout the weekend. Please submit your abstract by the deadline to be considered for the various Travel Awards made available by APSA and its partner organizations.

Lastly, the Annual Meeting Committee has been diligently working on many social activities to take place over the weekend. Ranging from mentorship breakfasts, to hot topic discussions, to receptions, and to the various dinner opportunities, we hope you will be able to build and expand your network as you meet up with old colleagues, meet new friends, and establish new mentorship relationships. We are anticipating a large turnout as we celebrate APSA's 5th year in existence and hope you will join us in strengthening APSA now and in the future with your support.
