To poll some older users/current PEM fellows - should I be worrying about lack of interviews at this point in the season? I was able to turn in my application about 2.5 weeks ago to many programs. Although I'm extremely happy to get an interview from my most desired program, I'm regretting not turning in an incomplete application earlier (I turned everything in at the same time...seems like a major mistake).

I'll probably start sending letters of interest soon, but with so many programs reporting I can't help but be concerned.

I’m not a fellow but my PD told us it was critical to submit apps on day 1 even if incomplete. Sounds like you submitted about a month after programa started downloading and reviewing so definitely not ideal. I don’t know how much movement there is in terms of waitlists etc but interviews are starting in a couple of weeks so you may want to get moving on letters of interest and working connections/asking for help from your program.

Wondering if any programs send interviews in several stages or just send all of them on one day (I’m still hoping for a few programs that have sent interviews already but have not sent me a rejection).

I definitely have from a few. A couple got back to me after I sent them a letter of interest as well.

Actually so far I've only been asked that by one person...most people want to know about research/academic interests and plans, what do you want out of fellowship, what are your ties to this place, things like that. Heavy focus on research at some places. I have barely been asked about clinical scenarios which is pretty different from residency interviews.
 
How much weight should we put in to programs not responding to thank you emails after interviews? Obviously folks are busy and shouldn't expect to get a response from everyone...but does the fact that no one responded back mean anything? Thanks!

Not speaking for ER, but I delete all thank you emails without even reading them. I also throw away all handwritten thank yous. Just some perspective.
