Did anyone get a confirmation from Mayo?
I replied through ERAS but now I'm thinking that I should have called them instead :(

Hey PM&R crew, quick question: did anyone who got an invite from Indiana get a confirmation yet? Thanks!

Wasn't IU scheduled through ERAS? So I'm assuming once you have it confirmed in ERAS you're good to go?

I'm really starting to wonder if that was the wrong assumption. That was the first invite I had that was using the ERAS scheduler, so I thought by scheduling it I was RSVPing. Now I'm not so sure as I read her email. On top of that, I just got a TY interview that explicitly states that they're using ERAS but that our date will not be guaranteed until they receive an email from us. They wrote this part in bold, followed by a qualifier that the ERAS scheduler is new to them so hopefully this works.

I've tried to reach out but am still waiting for a response. :/

Schwab rejection today, and also Utah this week :( :(

I actually contacted IU about this same concern because, I agree, the email was somewhat vague and I got paranoid seeing how different places were handling RSVPs. The PC said that scheduling on the ERAS scheduler did indeed save your spot. Hope this helps.

Edit: I did also receive a confirmation a few days later via ERAS with a welcome letter attached as well

Does anyone know what the interview dates are for University of Washington? Are all of their interview invites sent out already or do you think they will have another round?

I am pretty certain they have another batch coming. Fingers crossed for you! I believe dates are Fridays in Nov/Dec.

So would those of us who only assigned our third LOR right before the MSPE was released have gotten held up with invites? I applied to almost every program and haven't gotten any interviews yet. I'm not sure whether I should just keep waiting or start to freak out and contact programs or something?

A friend of mine who had a few red flags but ended up matching well said that the invites really start to flow mid-to-late October. I think most programs are shooting for the first round draft picks right now, in some ways gauging their own competitiveness. There are many more rounds to come, and 45% of programs haven't sent out any at all.

I know that there are programs that stop reviewing apps only a few days after the 15th of September or a week or so after, so that might be part of it from some of them? This is definitely a really small portion of programs though, maybe only a handful. Otherwise, could there be any red flags in your app? What are your stats/situation? I agree with rehab above that we still have a long way to go. It might not hurt to talk with your adviser about this but I think it's too early to start calling programs :/

Hey does anyone know why UCLA / VA LA only has 2 interview dates and in the near future? Or do they add interview dates as the season goes along? I didn't receive an invite yesterday, but they are one of my top programs, so just wondering. Waiting for interviews is tough! :)

I think it is highly likely they will add more dates. There is no way they are interviewing all their candidates in just two days. If you look at previous years, more dates are added as the interview season progresses. For example, Ohio State added more dates a few days ago. (see above)

Take a look at the spreadsheet we have going. You will see a steady trickle from many programs

At what point would people suggest emailing programs if we haven't heard? OSU has now sent out 2 batches, but I haven't received an invite even as an Ohio resident. I am interested in their program, but am wondering if it is too early to contact places.

Not sure. Invite didn't say how many were available on each day. But it was all the same dates as their first wave of invites

That you are definitely going on a couple of interviews, and might be going on all of the others you applied to.

As ukfan and I were saying earlier in the thread, there seems to be very little rhyme or reason to it all. I have been surprised by both invites and non-invites thus far.

A reasonable approach is probably to reach out to top choices expressing interest on Nov 1 if things are still ambiguous. Some programs do not send hard rejections at all, some might be swayed. It truly is still early by all accounts outside of current MS4s.

Anybody hear back from University of Pittsburgh for interview date confirmation who responded via email??

For those who got invited to interview with UT health sciences-San Antonio, how quickly did Ms. Garza respond your email regarding interview dates? Thanks!!

After about an hour or so.

Did you respond through ERAS of through personal email? I haven't heard back from her yet and I responded right away

I responded through ERAS on a computer because it was being wonky on an iPhone. I'd send Ms. Garza a personal email if she hasn't gotten back to you.

Pro tip: Puffin browser on iPhone works perfect with eras, including messages

Haha sometimes the attachments have to be saved to a Dropbox or something, but you can easily see messages and reply to messages

How many interviews is too much in one week? What if you could arrive in the next town mid-afternoon from an early interview and it was a situation where some had pre-dinners and some did not, to the point that you could make these work too? What if its just ONE week of back to back? Any input would be helpful from veterans of the interview trail.

Thanks!

I wouldnt do more than two per week. I loved interview season, but it is a bit tiring. You need to be focused and on your A game for every interview. Your interview is no trivial thing...the interview and interview-day interactions are probably the most important part of your package...especially if you didn't audition.

I don't think that you could be on your A game doing more than two per week.

hello all,
wondering you think my chances would be to match PM&R with a 204 STEP I and a 235 STEP II

Assuming you are in USMD school, I would say 80-90%

Way to complex to answer with just those two pieces of info. Would be better discussed in a different thread. Lots of other factors (foreign/US grad, research, pm&r electives, rec letters, red flags like missed time, failed rotations). Sure based solely on step scores you migt have 80-90% chance, but if you also were an IMG and had to repeat a year and never did a pm&r rotation, I'd say your chances are close to zero. Start a new thread and provide some more info and everyone here can give you better feedback

Did you end up contacting her again? I am in the same boat- I sent an e-mail just now and got an automatic reply that she will be out all next week. :nailbiting:
