Haha, they are just adding the programs they were invited to to the growing list.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I have 3 interviews so far, and I definitely got passed up by the places that I thought were my "safeties." (This is not to say that I'm getting invites from all the high-tier places either).

About your "optimistic question," I think geographical location definitely plays a factor for the low-tier programs, so they most likely will not interview top applicants who have no regional ties to their programs. However, I can't comment on why they wouldn't interview top applicants who DO have geographical ties though.

Same here. Getting passed on "safeties" I for sure thought I was going to get an interview from. oh well.

How do you know what interview date you ended up with? I haven't received a confirmation email about the date.

Neither have I, despite a second email and failed call to the administrator, so now I'm probably blacklisted from their program anyway. And I replied at 11:41am after an 11:36am invite.

Why would you email again and call already if you were just invited today? You should be blacklisted for that lack of common sense lol.

I have received an email from LSU saying that the interviews will take place on Nov 20-22. The invites will be sent by the end of this month. Hope this will help...

Yep. I'm in the same boat. 2 rejections and otherwise silence. 2 TY program interviews so far so I'm not feeling completely hopeless, but getting a bit nervous.
 
Which places have sent rejections besides Baylor?
 
The silence definitely stinks... I realized today my life now is very much like the mice that constantly pushes the lever begging for a treat. I've refreshed my email more times than I could count.

hey dude,

roughly what percent of places you applied to have sent out interviews? I though the majority had for me but when I actually went though it was less than half. Maybe similar for you? Also you can try contacting programs which was recommended as a way to get a few more interviews by people the year ahead. Get in touch with your home program for help too.

One-third of the programs I applied to have sent out invites. Yeah, I'm sure contacting programs would help but not sure when I should do this. Anyone have any thoughts?
 
What are you supposed to even say when you contact programs? Do you just ask them if they've already sent out invites and tell them you are very interested in their program?
