Why are LH levels elevated in females with 17-hydroxylase deficiency? UW ID 6753

LH normally serves to cause an increase in estrogen. Without 17-a-hydroxylase, you can't produce androstenedione, and without androstenedione, you can't make estrogen way down the line, so there's no negative feedback to lower the production of LH.
