Celiac disease - malabsorption leading to vit B12 deficiency?

In celiac disease, why is there a deficiency in vit b12? This is absorbed in the terminal ileum, which shouldn't be affected in celiac disease.

Celiac disease is usually associated with the duodenum, but that doesn't mean it never involves the jejunum/ileum. That being said, you usually wouldn't associate celiac disease with B12 deficiency either.

Whatever source you have that associates the two is not First Aid, and therefore can be ignored.

Thanks, I actually found a paper talking about this in a lot of detail which confirms what you said.
