First get exam style questions from Exam Pro, ABC, or Dr. Walls. Next go to the pearsonvue web site and learn how ABOG tests you. After all its what the exam is all about 3 hours of sitting down and taking an exam in front of a computer. Ugh.

I have received so many PM that I figure I'll open a site www.passingyourobgynboards.com just to let you de-stress and ask away. As Global and I have taken this painful test we know just the panic you are in.. Below are my recommendations complied from hundreds of test takers since 1998....

My advice relax..... True its crunch time but what SHOULD you study at this point?

[1] Exam-style questions:

a)PROLOGS in my opinion do the OB, GYN and Surgery, these are the highest yield. Sit down like an exam and get 180 question from 5 of the different prologs. If you don't have them ask around your attendings or fellow residents or library is sure to have the copies. Go through them at least twice

b) Exam pro site offers exam style questions plus binders of past remberences
http://www.exampro.com/board/MembWrittens_Only.asp?clasification=written

c) ABC site offers a diagnostic test and written questions http://americasboardreview.com/products/products_abog_written.shtml#bank

d) Dr. Wall has mock written tests 9 of them (I used these)

[2] DVD video
Get a good board review DVD or audio tape listen to it constantly in your car driving between rounds during lunch. My favorites *

b) ABC DVD*

c) Oslers audio series http://www.osler.org/main/GYN.html

[3] The little red book general OB/GYN and/or the REI book-

yeah the one you've been carrying around for the last 4 years it has a lot of what you need to know. I can read it in about 2 hrs now

Great post. Thanks for taking the time to put this up.

By the way, as soon as the excitement of passing the orals settled down, the reality of the MFM boards set in... :D

You can also try Boardvitals question for review, it's a new online question bank for OB/Gyn: http://www.boardvitals.com/obgyn-board-review

How to PASS the oral ABOG and AOBOG boards? Check out my blogs www.passingyourobgynboards.com
Its scary a lot of people finish residency procrastinate on taking their oral boards and then panic and take it with only 1-2 attempts left (new rules apply you have take orals 6 years from graduating residency). Unfortunately many candidates are not in academic settings have not been keepin up with ACOG standards and try to play 5 years of catch-up in 3 months before the exam. The result, yup you've guessed it board failure. I can not stress how important it is to read daily you get the green journal so don't just look at cover! Open it go to the website incorporate new standards in your practice-- educate your RN's change the standards on L&D. It shocks me how many candidate still treat all low risk patients with unknown GBS >37 weeks. I opened my website to help candidates with recurrent board failures and re-educate them on standards. Its not easy pass after you fail-- several people end up with PTSD and severe test taking anxiety.
I want to improve our profession to re-educate OB/GYN's on new standards that''s why I'm teaching GYN in November at the ABC Board review course
http://www.americasboardreview.com/collections/5-day-review-courses-for-abog-aobog-exams
I totally agree taking a board review course is VITAL! Like Boardvitals above I receive hundreds of emails a year on those who have failed boards wondering what to do.
Boardvitals will get you through written exams. PM me for help on orals!
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE....STUDY now... you can't afford to cram... and don't just blindly purchase everything.. you'll be overwhelmed
