So from what I have researched and from my experience applying once. I feel that I should completely redo my personal statement from the point of view as a reapplicant to medical school. That said, should I reiterate what I said the reason why I wanted to become a doctor was in my first personal statement? I have heard that many schools compare your two personal statements side by side, so I don't want to waste my space and their time explaining the original reason why I wanted to become a doctor.
I was thinking I would write in my personal statement how the activities I did this last year have helped me grow as a person and have motivated me to continue on my pursuit of becoming a doctor. I would like to mention how the application process itself has matured and humbled me and has changed the reasons why I want to become a doctor.
So in summation, how much of my old personal statement can I scrap when reapplying.
