Who attends PreInterview Dinners? (UCSD)

Just curious,

Usually who attends these pre-interview dinners? (UCSD) If I'm applying for IM program, will program directors/residents from other residency or even fellowship programs attend this dinner?

At UCSD specifically it was just a couple of residents, same as every other program.

It's a chance to meet some residents and ask questions. But dont feel obligated to go. Theres always a session during the interview day to meet with residents
