As I'm possibly going to be deciding between schools, I recently realized that the school/hospital environment is probably most important to me. Does anyone personally know schools or have heard about schools that tend to be more toxic or, on the other side, friendly? This refers to the students themselves but also the attendings on clinical rotations. For example, everyone I met at Stanford was really friendly and personable and they said the clinical environment was very supportive (of course, people may disagree).
Which medical schools are known to be toxic/supportive?

As it is unlikely that you'll be deciding among >100 schools, a listing of toxic or not is unlikely to be useful. Better to wait until you have the offers and then ask for those who know those school using a helpful sub-forum here:
