Hi all -
Can anyone comment on which (if any) journal subscriptions are a) vital or b) nice to have for a new rad onc in private practice?

Are there any bulletins, email listservs or groups you can join for major study updates short of monitoring major meeting updates?

For fun, I'll list the cost of journal subscriptions for an individual below:
- IJROBP $875
- PRO $177
- Green J $560
- JCO $625
- JAMA Oncology $150 (online only)

Getting the jco, ijrobp and nejm TOC emailed to you is a nice way to stay up to date with any groundbreaking stuff. Easy enough to sign up for

I recommend signing up for the Quadshot newsletter. Summarizes new studies in a few emails per week without spam.

Try Read by QxMD as an aggregator. For what can't be downloaded for free from this, try sci-hub.

JAMA Onc is not vital yet, but is publishing really interesting and quality stuff. It also has a very high impact factor so probably more and more important studies will start showing up there in years to come. Seems like a good deal for $150.
