Hello,
I am a Canadian medical student (McGill) just receive bad score for step 1 (<200) but passed. I would ideally like to work in the states since i have family there. I know this means I need to do extremely well on STEP 2 to make up for it.
I am debating when to take the step 2. As my rotation schedule has it I have Surgery/ObyGyn near the end of 3rd year, making it a very busy time. Not much time to study for step 2.
here are my questions:
1) I understand that the US application is due in Nov, so the latest I should write would be Oct right? But I'm wondering if this is realistic - studying for step 2 and starting 4th year away electives?
Or should I write before the start of 4th year, but during a busy rotation like surgery?
2) How long is enough time to study for step 2 CK? Is one month enough time to study? how should I study?
Please advise...
