When to take Step 2 CK in relation to rotation schedule

Take Step 2CK as soon as you feel ready. EM and ICU will not really help. Sub-I IM will definitely help (especially if you do your Sub-I in general medicine rather than a subspecialty). So if you can do your Sub-I first and then take it, that'd be best (assuming you really don't want to take it before your fourth year courses). Would actually recommend just taking a vacation block for the first block of fourth year and take it before you start your fourth year courses. The reason that I say that is because Sub-I in medicine tends to have longer hours and be pretty tiring.
Just keep in mind that one of the strongest and only correlations for Step 2Ck is the longer you take it after your third year, it becomes harder to achieve higher score.
