When to apply for away rotations?

Seems like people are getting ready and applying around February... but after looking at some schools through VSAS, they don't start accepting applications until April. Some even stated that applications will be returned if sent before April. Are people just talking about non-VSAS programs? Or are people just contacting the program coordinators early?

probably mostly non-vsas apps although I know alot of people are making sure that their immunization forms for each school are filled out since that seems to be the thing that delays your app the most. so if folks are doing anything its probably just getting all the sub-items together so they can be ready to submit as soon as its possible.
