I am having difficulty in understanding the following topic below, Please any GI guru , help me with this. That would be a great help.

Stimulation of parasympathetic nervous system increases GIT motility. Then how vagotomy causes diarrhea? Also if someone pls explain what is the mechanism of diabetic diarrhea? (According to Sleisenger and Fordtran's Gastro. (edition 9th; page 214) 'intestinal hurry' is responsible for diarrhea in both the cases above. I didnt get the idea that how autonomic neuropathy or vagotomy would cause intestinal hurry i.e. increase intestinal motility. Does anyone have any input here please?
