what if I don't match...LORs

As I was emailing my professors for LORs, this question popped up in my head. So let's say I go through the match process and didn't match with any place. What is next? Do I just contact those programs that I am interested in or do I have to contact my professors again for more LORs? I'd imagine that I don't have to get LORs at that point, but I am just making sure.

when I scrambled last year I just had my professors e-mail the program directors as I interviewed.

Some places wanted basically a complete application, while others just wanted a CV and a phone interview.
