What degree do you get after dental residency?

What degree would you get after a dental residency? Would it be a masters since most residencies are 2-3 years... the same length as a traditional masters? Or do you just get board certified in X field dentistry?

Pretty sure you just get to ethically call yourself a specialist. I don't think there is an actual degree, but I could be wrong.

There are other degree seeking programs available to post graduate dentists though.

depends on the school and maybe the residency i believe.

All residencies will grant you a certificate of some sort, ortho/perio/pros/endo may grant you a master's depending on length of program (typically 3 years vs 2 years no master's), and 6 year omfs programs grant you the MD (Case is the 5 year MD exception).
