Based in Doha, a State of the Art Medical and Research Centre will be the Middle East's first academic medical centre designed to the best international standards. Currently in the project-planning phase, the Centre will be a 400 bed specialty and research hospital for women and children. Scheduled to open in early 2013, the facility will provide world class, patient-focused, clinical services for women and children, medical education, and biomedical research in an ultra-modern, all-digital facility.
Job Summary
The Executive Director – Diagnostic Imaging Administration is responsible for the overall Operational and Financial activity within the Diagnostic Imaging Department of the Medical and Research Centre. The Executive Director works collaboratively with internal/external groups to achieve business results, integrating the diverse perspectives of individuals of different backgrounds; coaches others in the dynamics of effective teamwork. Responsible for planning and policy development within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Requirements
Essential
  • Masters in relevant field plus BSc in Medical Imaging or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate qualification in management studies or equivalent standard.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a North American Academic Institution or equivalent in UK, Republic of Ireland, EU States, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand plus appropriate Education Certification/Accreditation from the ARRT or equivalent licensing board in the field of study.
  • Demonstrated advanced leadership ability in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated team development skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning and policy development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
