Centra Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to lead the Centra Brain and Spine Service Line in Central Virginia. The Brain & Spine service line is one of nine major service lines at Centra Health, critical to providing high value care to the communities of central Virginia. The selected candidate will partner with an administrative dyad to Neurosurgery, Neurology and associated subspecialties, as well as the stroke program and neurodiagnostics across the care continuum throughout the organization. We are seeking a purpose-driven leader who inspires and develops teams of caregivers to continually learn, improve and build systems of care for patients with neurological conditions.
Position Requirements
The CMG Brain and Spine service line is a growing division at Centra Health that encompasses specialized epilepsy services complete with neurodiagnostics and an epilepsy monitoring unit, stroke and endovascular care, neuromuscular care and a headache center offering advanced therapies for patients suffering from headache and migraine. The department consists of 4 full time neurosurgeons trained in spine, complex spine, and functional neurosurgery along with 7 neurologists, 11 advanced practice providers and 2 neuroendovascular radiologists. Within the neurovascular services, the team offers a full range of clinical capability from endovascular procedures to open cerebrovascular procedures addressing AVMs, aneurysms, and tumors. The vision for the service line is to create a system in which every caregiver is more than a number and every patient is more than a diagnosis.
