Hey all you senior residents and attendings. Here's a chance to break into a very competitive area of the country for emergency docs.
My group is hiring several more positions beginning in Summer of 2015. We will be opening up an emergency department in a brand new hospital in (very) Northern Utah County and thus will need to add some new BE/BC residency-trained emergency physicians to our small, democratic group in order to staff it.

Main Facility: Jordan Valley Medical Center – a ~30,000 visit Level III Trauma community hospital in West Jordan, UT, a suburb of Salt Lake City with very good specialist back-up, a very reasonable patients per hour expectation (40 hours of physician coverage and 18 hours of PA coverage per day), and an excellent payor mix.
Secondary Facility: New Iasis Hospital in Lehi, a town in Northern Utah County, currently under construction. Partners, current pre-partners, and new hires will be working shifts at both facilities.

8 hour shifts, low nursing turnover, extremely low physician turnover, 2 year partnership track.
Highly desirable and competitive area for emergency physicians. This area of Utah is paradise for outdoors lovers with 7 world class ski resorts within 20-30 minutes, year round world-class mountain and road biking, rock and ice climbing, and easy access to 8 of the most famous national parks including Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Arches, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Grand Canyon. Safe, low-crime, family-focused communities (don’t come here if you love penetrating trauma) with beautiful views, a reasonable cost of living, low humidity, and all four seasons. For culture lovers, nearby Salt Lake City boasts museums, art galleries, symphony, theatre, and dance. The Salt Lake Valley also hosts the Utah Jazz, the Utah Grizzlies (minor league hockey), the Salt Lake Bees (minor league baseball), and the Real Salt Lake, a perenially competitive major league soccer team.
