    1. TBH really want to stay in TX but after finding out about yield protection and lowkey getting worried I want to apply to some OOS state too just in case ( around 10 maybe) No strong connections OOS some family in Georgia and Chicago

Here are some schools that seemed okay:
Georgetown
Vanderbilt
Miami
Pitt
Tufts
Tulane
Virginia

Your Texas MD schools will not "yield protect" so apply to all of them and you should receive interviews.
OOS MD schools interview few Texas applicants since they know from years of experience that Texas applicants will attend a Texas school.
For AMCAS schools you could try TCU and Tulane.

Tutoring will be counted separately as tutoring/teaching and does not show "service orientation" unlike your work with your foster home and possibly the COVID relief volunteer (need details). With 20 hours of non-clinical service orientation activities, your application is at risk of being screened out in most schools' admissions processes.

For sure you have a great shot within Texas as long as you address "service orientation" in how you have made an impact to marginalized communities outside of the clinic. Mission fit is going to be important, so I'm guessing the research-focused Texas schools may show some interest.

You have a strong chance at your state schools, much stronger than OOS. Maybe quite not as strong at UTSW or Baylor given your research and non-clinical volunteering, but also not DOA. Plus, you’ll save a ton of money.

Thank you for the insight do you have any AMCAS schools you would recommend?

UVA likes out of state applicants with very high stats.
Tulane accepts a lot of Texans.
I believe TCU is a AMCAS MD program.
