hmm

Seems the republicans are screwing us all right now. So regardless of my personal views (which dont seem to perfectly fit either) it will be democrat for me.

In the modern era of the United States of America not 1 democratic senator has EVER voted for tort reform, NOT ONE. So keep voting democrat, but no crying when the premiums continue to rise and payouts get bigger and bigger. There is no question when it comes to medicine that democrats wish to continue to screw the doctors for the big payouts and are in bed with the ABA.

If anyone gets a response to the letter posted in another thread, it would be nice to see it here.

Exactly. I'm no fan of the republicans but the number one donor to democrats by far are the trial lawyers. That says it all.

I'll vote for whoever supports campaign finance reform. Then our congress can stop selling out to the highest bidder/donor and start representing us.

Deal.

And you keep voting republican, but no crying when we hit 20,000 dead soldiers in Iraq ;)

I'm off to use the Google.

who is better for medicine and doctors.

i know i'm asking alot when it comes to seeing past personal interests, but when you're at the polls, ask yourself who is better for the future of the country, not who is better for doctors. the politicos are spending like crazy and our debt is in the trillions. we are, as a country, no longer "#1" in any category that matters - education, healthcare, personal liberties, the list goes on...

Deal.

I am going to pull the Democratic lever this time.

I can only hope that Democrats get a majority in both houses so they can start Impeachment hearings for George W.

i know i oversimplified everything with my post, but i have a long, long list of how repubs are destroying our country that i will never get into on an anesthesiology board because it's the wrong place for it.

i have beef with the democrats too, and think of myself more as an independent, but this administration has been an absolute disaster on a grand scale, and the silly and dangerous scare tactics and propaganda is just tiresome at this point. i'd even vote for republicans if i thought they would stand up against some of the childish nonsense that we have to put up with from our "leaders".

and that concludes my rant. no more politics for me until i can get some beta-blockers on board.

At least 75% of whom also voted republican.

With the Republicans, man exploits man...with the Democrats, it's the other way around.

Thats the truth.

Basically no difference between the two. Socialists and Libertarians, now theres a real difference.

Very well said.

I am sooooo tired of both parties. Just a bunch of idiots (mods will appreciate that word from me:love: ).

Trisomy, you care to explain why the deficit is such a big deal? I've heard it all and no one can give a good reason. THe Dem's cry about this every time they are stuck in a rut but can never really give any material.

I've been thinking democrat more and more lately until they get in front of the camera's, IDIOTS. I've never seen a group so afraid of taking a stance.

Not really because I am not well versed in economics. And I'm speaking national debt, not deficit. I do know that 4 trillion dollars of debt sets you up for a fall. If you owe VISA 4 trillion dollars, VISA comes and takes your house. If we owe countries like China billions of dollars... again.. i'm not an economist. all i know is i'm tired of homophobic repubs screaming family values and then coming out of the closet, buying meth, and getting a massage from a prostitute. i'm tired of bush telling me how we have to stay the course, no wait, now we aren't supposed to say that, etc etc.. i'm tired of all the bull$h|t from this administration.

that's all. i don't debate politics because i have found that these discussions are rarely rational debates, and usually end up in name-calling and rhetoric, and i am also guilty of this trap. i will make my point at the polls.

Funny enough we never were. We just like to think we were. We especially like to think things were once good and pure and now that former utopia is being chiseled away by (your choice: Democrats or Republicans). In reality, nothing has changed...at all. Life expectancy is better than ever, but still behind half of W Europe and of course Japan. We are statistically more educated than we were in the 1950's or 60's, yet it takes a 4 year liberal arts college degree to be on par with British or Japanese High School Grads. Personal Liberties....need I say anymore than Colored Bathrooms…weve come a long way, but look where we were 40 years ago. The country was made great by exploiting endless recourses with little to no cost, and then in the 80's with unprotected forests devoured, unacceptable pollution from industrialization and mining, Reganomics (although occurring before the regan era -but who cares about details) allowed us to have endless financial recourses despite not having true capital -hence the deficit. Instead of devouring nearly free natural recourses, we devoured an endless IOU, 8 trillion dollars in size. With the freeing of the slaves and unionized labor, we now have globalization to labor for us. But as long as our day to day standard of living is maintained, we will continue to play this silly game of shall we vote republican or democrat this year, when EVERYONE knows it makes no difference at all.

Deal.

For someone who keeps saying they are done, you sure talk alot. And those who are dying in Iraq and fighting for our freedoms, jokes don't fix the problems we face or answer the questions. Many fighting over there believe in what they are doing and that good will come. Those of us who have lost freinds and loved ones also have opinions and I find that the rhetoric you spew shows only your shortsided and uneducated self. Yes, there are problems we face both here and abroad and things can be going better, but snide, quick remarks are not the answer.

All republicans are not homophobes as you state. They may have a different opinion than yours. So basically I hope all who reads your posts can see that what you say should not be taken at face value and you probably deal with most frustations in life the same way you have responded to this thread.

The war in Iraq is no joke. W. is the joke. But since the democrats couldn't find someone better than Kerry we are stuck with him for 2 more years.

I am sorry to see so many of our young Men and Women in uniform die or get injured fighting a war, that most everyone will admit was a colossal mistake. Where do we go from here? I do not think W. is able to admit his mistake. But perhaps if the democrats get a majority in both houses W. might see the light and work on figuring out a reasonable exit strategy.

1. until you're blue in the face, there are really only 2 choices at the polls.
2. more than a physician, I'm a human being.

makes voting very simple.

Too much at stake with Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean looming around. Got to vote for more Republican because of the disgusting nature of these two and others in the Democratic Party. While I am not happy with all the policies with the republicans (immigration, budget) this go around, it is too important not to lose these seats to the extreme leftist hollywood/Soros ******s.
