What it the truth?

well I don't know and you don't know and we will change what we believe in 5 years from now.

However, my point is - YOU should vote in what you believe in. What do you believe in?

Take this quiz and see. And have the BALLS to vote for who it aligns you most with.

Not surprised by the result (93% match with Libertarian Gary Johnson, next closest 64% match with Romney...15% Obama); and, yes, I will be voting Libertarian, as I have for two of the last three elections.

80% Gary Johnson, 74% Jill Stein, 64% Barack Obama, 58% Mitt Romney.

- pod

Would be very curious to see how you voted with Libertarian then Green party as your top two.

Jill Stein 95%, Barack Obama 81%, Rocky Anderson 76%, Mitt Romney 7%. Yep, I'm a flaming liberal...

Edit: Gary Johnson at 68%, so I think this allows me to avoid being banned from the anesthesiology forums! ;)

I expected to get Obama and to argue that cutting entitlement spending is by far the most important move that can be made to save this country so I could never support Obama no matter what other issues we agree about. But that didn't happen. I got the libertarian like most everyone else so far.

Gary Johnson first, Obama by 1 point over Romney for 2nd place.
Voting Romney.

Gary Johnson 91%
Jill Stein 74%
Barack Obama 71%
Mitt Romney 58%

Loved Johnson at the 3rd party debate. He would've DESTROYED Romney and Obama if he'd been allowed to debate them.

Voted for Romney. If I wasn't a swing state resident I would have wasted my vote on Johnson.

I'll hold off on the ban for now. :)

Since when is California a swing state?

Or do you only live in California for military duty and "reside" somewhere else?

I'm a Virginia resident. (House there, cars registered there, drivers license there, pay taxes there, vote there.) The Navy says I have to live in California for the moment but I and my wife vote absentee in Virginia.

In 2008 we lived in Virginia but I was a California resident, so my vote didn't count. I grew up in CA and entered the military from a CA address, so I kept my CA residency for tax reasons (AD military don't pay CA state taxes while stationed outside CA) ... until I moved to CA from VA, at which point I declared myself a VA resident so I wouldn't have to pay CA state taxes. VA still collects state taxes from AD military who aren't living in state, but VA taxes are lower than CA (shocking).

Starting in December I won't have to pay taxes anywhere :D but that will come at the cost of residing in Afghanistan for a while.

I'd like to see these 3rd party people running for the Senate and House instead of President. Gary Johnson could probably get elected to the Senate in New Mexico. Stein could probably get elected in Massachusetts.

I don't quite understand why 3rd parties focus so much on the presidency when they obviously can't win it. If they could get a few people elected to Congress, maybe in a few election cycles there'd be some credibility to a presidential run.

Part of me wants to believe that they are playing the long game and sacrificing their political chances to increase awareness of the party and that there are alternatives to the donkey and elephant. And then I take a strong forehand from reality and realize that when it comes to the political power buffet, everyone's eyes are bigger than their proverbial stomachs.

I'd also like to add, for the record, that even though that online quiz thingy put me at 74% for Jill Stein, I'd never vote for her simply because of her appetite for gun control.

I guess the algorithm got fooled by the fact that I'm such a flaming liberal on just about everything else.

Apparently Gary Johnson and I could be 90% political friends. Not surprising, but not entirely expected either. That said, I found that it was hard to actually answer several of the questions.

Romney 93%, Johnson 79%, Goode 72%, Obama 55%

Frankly I was surprised that anyone made it over 80%.

90% Gary Johnson
89% Mittens
84% Virgil Goode

I side 90% with Republicans and 70% with libertarians

socialism and the dems are a drag on this society. i seriously believe liberals need to get themselves checked at mental hospital ASAP. There is no way one can honestly believe all that junk they preach.

'Nuff said.

Hmmmm very surprising on some parts

88% Mitt on economic, domestic policy, foreign policy, social, immigration, and science issues
84% Gary on domestic policy, healthcare, immigration, and environmental issues
66% Virgil Goody on social and healthcare issues
15% Obama on immigration issues :wow:

86% Republican
67% Libertarian
6% Democrat
3% Green

Voting Mitt

Your post assumes that the survey tool accuartely asses our values and that this should translate to how we vote... Big assumption....

In my poll Obama and Romney were virtually tied. I would cut my fingers off before pulling an Obama lever.

What he was actually saying was that all children are a gift from god, even those conceived from rape. Not very sensitive true, but a far cry from saying rape is a gift from god, but of course our media wants to misrepresent and vilify since they are part of the leftist political machine.
Saying evolution is bs is probably just ignorant but at least he isn't being torn apart for something he didn't actually say or mean.

ya when it comes to social policy conservatives are crazy. but when it comes to fiscal/economic policy the liberals have absolutely lost their mind. and i am pretty much a single issue voter (just like most americans are lol) and i vote on fiscal/econ policy
