How does a program expect to replace a 2nd year resident with another PGY-2 resident? According to a source, that is what the program director is looking to do.

It can be people who failed med school elsewhere but finished first year and are qualified , can be an unhappy resident somewhere else, can be someone left his/her program for whatever reason in the past and now are ready to come back, believe me there are people out there.
