VA Inpatient Pharmacist Advert

I perused a VA clinical pharmacist advert that seemed to have a filling function, inpatient. Additionally, it had rounding, AB stewardship, pharmacokinetics, etc. Is the job description a hybrid staff position, or are they just throwing the kitchen sink in the advert? How does the VA classify these positions, clinical vs. staffing hospital?

At the VA, every staffing position is called a clinical pharmacist, which is a GS-12 position. It's not until you become a clinical pharmacist specialist, typically a GS-13 position, that you're on the floor doing rounds, etc.

Are those jobs completely shut out to non-residency people? On the adverts, it doesn't list residency as required? I noticed that the VA takes all clinical functions, including pharmacokinetics out of the staff rx's hands to goose clinical job numbers.

Like He-man said in a thread here, the gs12s are staffing, regardless of job description.
