Usmle and pmdc

First i am very thankful to Admins and staff for this forum ..Now we have a portal to discuss our problems.

Actually i just graduated from China and now i am preparing to give exam ..I need your suggestions....I am planning to give usmle step1 and PMDC step1 together after 6mnths of preparation becuz both have almost same subjects...i am planning this because it would be difficult to prepare for USMLE 1 exam after PMDC(my thought)...so is it a good idea?????

2)OR i should have to give PMDC first then i have to go for USMLE?????

Studying for both might seem the same material, but question format is completely different. I suggest you do what gets you to where you want to go to fastest. If you are trying to come to america, and have a greencard or work permit then don't waste your time for PMDC. If you pass USMLE step 1, 2 and CS, you can register for PMDC without having to take their exam
