I got the email from Jennifer today, and now, I do not have fingernails anymore. I chewed them all off. How is everybody holding up?I decided not to fret because it will take the same time to know of my status whether I am worried or not. Keep the faith. All things are possible to them who believe. I have convinced myself that I already have an acceptance letter mailed out, and now, I just have to wait to see it physically. Not that I am being boastful, but I choose to believe and not be anxious. So there!! You can all join me if you like.

Well, guys, I am officially about to go crazy. If they mailed out some letters yesterday, and you live in OK near a major post office, it could come today. I hope they start in alphabetical order, cause I would be first!!!!!! This is killing me!!!!!!! I am trying to be optimistic like the above poster said, but I really don't wanna get my hopes too high, in case of the worst!! I'm sure we all have nothing to worry about, though.

Oh, and about the waitlist thing, I am 1000% sure that if anyone here had heard that, they would've posted it already.

Try to relax... I was like you at the beginning but I just prayed last night that I did my part and I just let God control the situation from that point. The envelope was normal sized and thin. The letter was dated April 3, 2007. The paragraph started with ... " I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted for admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center beginning Fall 2007... Stay positive.

Thanks! I was interviewed 2/24 and the first batch to be interviewed, so that could be the reason why we received the letter early. So don't worry yet, it can come tomorrow...

Man, I hear you. I'm so glad that everybody on here has gotten in, but everytime somebody does, I have to admit, I get a little jealous (just for a moment). My problem is that I think I might be one of the "bubble" people. I have great PCATs, ELORs, and I felt like my interview went very well, but my GPA is toward the bottom of the pile (hence my screen name). So I've got this little voice in the back of my mind saying, "Don't get your hopes up..." Geez I hate that voice.

Anyway, hang in there - you're not alone.

I have a question for everyone. I have a family to contribute to (I think most of us do) Anyway, do you all plan on taking out enough loans to cover living expenses (mortgage, bills, whatever)???? I am so worried that I will not be able to take out enough loans. I really don't want to work. Does anyone know if it's possible to take out enough so that I don't have to?

You'll have to work some because of the intern requirements but, from what I've been told, they will basically give you a blank check on loans. I'm in a similar boat - my wife is going to stay home with Cooper while I'm in school, so our income will be severely limited. We have a mortgage, car payment, etc that we have to pay, so I'll be working part-time while in school. Since interns don't make jack though, I'll have to supplement in a big way with student loans (at least 20k per year, and probably more like 25-30k per year).

I have heard that you can take out 45,000 in Stafford loans. Now in order for me to live off that after tuition is paid I am going to have to downsize my house and live off the profit. My job is salary not hourly; I can't work partime in the same capacity so that stinks.

There are always "extra" private loans that you can obtain through the college.
