I am currently attempting to transfer due to a serious family health situation, but I just wanted to check with you all to make sure that if this transfer attempt doesn't pan out (which I realize is highly likely), my originial med school will take me back, right? This is just the "understood" policy, right? When I asked my Dean & faculty members for letters of recommendation I made sure to use the words "transfer *attempt*", so they'll understand that if the transferring doesn't work out, I'll want to return, right?

Thanks for any insight into this situation :)
