So some of you may have noticed that I'm on the Bad Boy list again. This time it wasn't' for suffering a fool lightly, but using the term "Der Trumppenfuhrer" in a thread that wasn't a flame war, but one that should been put to sleep earlier.

So I was told my post was a TOS violation, and so I'm not mad at the modes, but I am disappointed at their overreaction. I remember not being impressed with Jalby's and others' complaints of over-moderation when the Gtown threads was killed, but this time, I beg to differ.

So, I'm going to take a break from SDN for a month. I'll check PMs, and see what my favorite SDNers are up to, but y'all be good.

For those of you needing input on lists, check in with Faha and the always sage gyngyn.

I'll bet I can get more work done in my other hobbies, at least.

SDN is dying a quick death. IDK who the new mods are that are hell bent on destroying what was once a valuable resource, but they should be named and should be relieved of their positions. We've lost way too many highly valued members in the past few months.

A one-time use of insults/heated exchanges are usually met with a gentle warning, but I think repeated behavior over the course of many weeks are met with more severe punishments like probations.

SDN benefits from valuable advice and guidance given by seasoned and experienced members so they are usually reluctant to discipline them harshly. But if said members engage in bad behaviors repeatedly, there comes a point where intervention is necessary and actions have to be issued.

Personally, it's a sad time for everyone involved and I hope it becomes better soon.

Whatever happened to freedom of speech? SDN will be is disarray and will miss you. Definitely not the best time for such silliness. Do try to enjoy your time off and remember to wear SPF when reaching for the Iron club, setting foot on the beach or even while gardening. Regards!!!

Yeah, it'll be 10 years in November but I had a 7-8 year gap between when I first went premed and now came back to be a premed again.

Throughout my entire interview season, I asked many of my fellow interviewees if they were on SDN. The overwhelming response I got was "We read stuff on there, but we don't post things/ don't bother to make an account." Unfortunately, now I understand why.
