My rotation in November for EM was cancelled because I guess the hospital overbooked students. They were supposed to provide a SLOE. They set me up with a different EM doc in the area, but its my understanding he doesn’t provide a sloe. What do I do next as its becoming close to end of application season? I already have a december audition lined up, so it takes that off the table. Can anybody provide a sloe, or do I have to scramble and try to find another hospital in the area? Is it best to go by VSAS or another avenue? Thanks for the help everyone.

so there are different SLOE's you can get: https://www.cordem.org/resources/residency-management/sloe/

1) you can get a SLOE-Non residency EM faculty from the EM doc youre going to do a rotation with now.

2) You can also get an O-SLOE from NON-EM rotations

3) if you can find a subspeciality rotation (i.e. ultrasound, tox), then you can get an SLOE-Subspeciality from them.
